How do you install through a “headless server” when the dashboard keeps closing down during installation ?

Hi Mick, use Remote Desktop to connect to the server and then start the installation.

Do you have to reinstall/update console on clients manually or is it automatically propagated?

Console is not yet updated automatically. So yes, you have to download the latest installer from http://:7782 and run it again. Uninstall is handled automatically.

Nothing seems to happen when I click on Download button. Am I doing something wrong?

Used Lights-Out on a Windows Homew server. Microsoft does not support it anymore. Now installed the paid version 1.x on a Windows10 desktop, get the message that version 2 is available. Question: can I keep on using version 1 (simple task for it is to start the Windows10 machine and stop at specific times, the Bios does not support this) or do you advice to switch to version 2? Do I need to pay when I use it on a single machine, private?
    Thanks,

I recommend to update to version 2 because 1.6 is end of life.
Wether you need a license or not depends on the features you like to use. The free Community Edition may be enough for your usage scenario. Give it a try, you can test the full functionality for 30 days without any risk. Then it changes automatically into a free Community Edition.

      Hi Marcel,
Version 2 requires a new license. If you already have a 1.x license you get a 30% discount for a 2.0 license. See here for upgrade instructions /help2/webframe.html#UpgradeALicense.html
